March 2023

It's spring! Almost...

It is amazing how quickly time flies when you think of the first beautiful evenings of the coming spring! And it's also scary how long it still takes if you have to wait until the first longer-lasting warm rays of sunshine appear!

But we are gamers and certainly have enough alternatives in mind, right? So we can sweeten the time: For example, fight abyssal demons in PERISH or race destruction derbies in Wreckfest. Or play Endling on your mobile phone in the forest to accompany the fox family into their new life in style. After all, our imagination often doesn't care about the weather. A sunny disposition definitely helps drive out winter fatigue. With this in mind, let's get to the controllers and count down to spring!

International women's day 2023

Next Wednesday is International Women's Day, and of course, we'll also celebrate it here at HandyGames! The idea of a worldwide day in honor of women arose in the early 20th century. Since the mid-seventies, the United Nations has commemorated March 8 to remember the struggle of women for greater equality and emancipation.

Why is it important? Even in 2023, equality is not lived everywhere. That is why it is important to shine a light on persistent issues and keep working on improving. Just imagine how boring the gaming world would be if we didn't have ambitious and sympathetic women in our ranks - whether as characters, makers, or streamers!

Next week, we will talk a little bit more about our ladies in the gaming business. So if you still don't follow us on our social media channels, now is the time!

Townsmen VR for PSVR2 released

Who doesn't know and love them? For years, our Townies have been scurrying across the screen in our popular building game, constructing new cities, mining valuable resources, and defending their belongings against unpleasant bandits.

Since VR has been a major topic in the gaming world, we've been on board. We have breathed (almost real) life into our townies and care about keeping the genre of building games fresh - and providing a new experience in the world of VR.

In time for the release, we technically adapted the game to utilize the new features of the PS VR2 - and since Wednesday, February 22, you can now enjoy this high pleasure on your PS5!

How to not PERISH!

First-person shooters are cruel. First-person shooters are unforgiving. First-person shooters can be lonely. Well, all that CAN be true, but it doesn't have to be. After all, if you understand why a game should be played a certain way, you'll be more attuned to it and will be able to react in the rush of carnage. Most of the time. …maybe.

With PERISH, you don't actually need to understand much. We are trapped in purgatory and must make our way to redemption. For this, we have to pass many trials, need to collect Danake (Hell's currency) to upgrade our weapons, and above all, we should not do one thing: die! Every loss of our life is also punished with the material loss of Danake we’ve collected, and we have to begin the trials anew. And nobody wants that. Escaping purgatory should not and cannot be easy. Try it out and gain fame and honor on your very own personal path to Elysium - which you have to follow alone or with up to three other comrades-in-arms!

De-Exit – Eternal Matters participated in the IGN Fan Fest and the STEAM Next Fest 2023

The IGN Fan Fest took place on February 17 and 18 and featured many sneak peeks and exclusive interviews with stars and producers of big movies, series, and games. Although the program contained a lot of content and the slots were hotly contested, we were able to introduce one of our upcoming games to a larger audience with a stylish story trailer, which you can watch here.

De-Exit – Eternal Matters was also part of the STEAM NextFest at the beginning of February, letting players get a first taste with a Demo - and while you can‘t play the demo anymore, you can still put it on your wishlist. We've heard that the release is just around the corner...
