Happy New Year!
2023 is in full swing, but since this is the first issue of our monthly newsletter since December, we'd still like to wish you all a happy and healthy new year. We have a lot going on that we'd like to tell you about, so I'll keep this intro short and sweet. El Hijo invites to Team.Lunch
Last time we told you about El Hijo – A Wild West Tale being named Apple TV Game of the Year. For us, this was the perfect start to the new year, and we celebrated our award win with lunch in style!
Billed as Team.Lunch, we celebrated El Hijo with an exquisite vegetarian chili and enjoyed this award together as a team!
Chicken Police – Paint it RED! Five more Days on Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime doesn't need an introduction at this point. Users of the premium service can also play a changing selection of free games every month. Among them, you'll also find HandyGames titles every once in a while. Such is the case with Chicken Police - Paint it RED! The detective-noir buddy cop adventure is available on Prime for another 5 days!
If you have some time left on the weekend, an Amazon Prime subscription, and haven't played Chicken Police yet, now is the time to check it out. And with February just around the corner, we'll be able to offer you another indie hit from our repertoire...
Endling will be remembered
Since its release, Endling – Extinction is Forever has moved the gaming community and the press. We have received numerous prestigious awards and are thrilled with the continued positive feedback the game's heartbreaking narrative and whimsical art style have garnered. Most recently, the survival-adventure developed by Herobeat Studios was nominated for the 22nd annual NAVGTR awards in four categories: Outstanding Art Direction (Contemporary), Outstanding Game (Special Class), Outstanding Original Dramatic Score (New IP), and Outstanding Game of the Year.
And that's not all! The French Académie des Arts et Techniques du Jeu Vidéo nominated Endling in their Best International Game and Best International Indie Game categories for the Pégases 2023!
Also nominated for Best Indie Game, Endling came to the attention of the organizers of the Indie Pearls Awards. We are very excited and looking forward to seeing how it turns out! (We will keep you posted, of course).
Upcoming Releases
With PERISH, we will release our debut in the First Person Shooter genre on February 2nd! Get ready for an eerily dark atmosphere that will accompany you on your way through purgatory. Fight epic bosses, earn and spend Danake to upgrade your equipment, and try to reach Elysium by redeeming your soul. Sounds diabolically exciting? It will be!
If you've been following HandyGames in any capacity over the last year or so, you will have heard of Endling – Extinction is Forever on various occasions. So we won't need to go into the details here. However, we want the title to reach as many players as possible, and thanks to our outstanding porting team, we made it available for mobile devices. And now it's almost time: On February 7th, we will release Endling – Extinction is Forever for iOS and Android (Google Play, Samsung Galaxy Store). For anyone wanting to take their cubs on the road or those who didn't get a chance to play Endling yet, now is your chance. Give it a try! You won't regret it.
The VR version of our beloved classic, Townsmen, will be available for the new PlayStation®VR2 headset. Leveraging the power of the PlayStation®5 (PS5™) console and the unique haptic capabilities of the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller, our builders, farmers, hunters, and soldiers feel more lifelike than ever before. Townsmen VR will be available on February 22nd, 2023, for PS VR2 and will be sold as both a digital and, thanks to THQ Nordic, a physical version.

The spiritual successor to the renowned FlatOut Series has been available on PC and consoles for quite some time. With the release of the iOS and Android (Google Play, Samsung Galaxy Store) versions last November, we made sure that fans of mobile games can also enjoy fender-bending carnage. The game not only provides fun and excitement through its destructive physics simulation, but the events you can compete in also change over time.
